The Hudson Valley Flamenco Festival transforms the region’s arts scene by bringing the passion, rhythm, and artistry of authentic flamenco to local audiences — creating an experience unlike anything else outside of Spain. Millbrook Arts Group is proud to partner with the Festival in expanding the reach of the arts, enriching cultural life not only in Millbrook but throughout Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley.

NEW BOJAIRA JAZZ FLAMENCO WITH UNITED FLAMENCO
Millbrook Bandshell | Saturday, Oct 4 | 4 PM
New Bojaira Jazz Flamenco takes the stage, bridging true American Jazz and deeply rooted flamenco ~ the musical traditions from both sides of the Atlantic delivering a sound that speaks to both Jazz and Flamenco fans. The core quartet is a combination of two Spanish musicians from the home of flamenco, Andalusia, pianist Jesús Hernández and singer/flute player Alfonso Cid; and two long time veterans of the New York jazz scene, bassist Tim Ferguson and drummer Mark Holen. Elisabet Torras will join the stage to dance with the artists!
Driven by a shared passion for flamenco and education, United Flamenco is redefining how this art form is taught, experienced, and celebrated. Direct from Boston, catch them as they open this year’s Hudson Valley Flamenco Festival.

“La Chana” - Award winning flamenco documentary screening of Antonia Santiago Amador who stepped away from the limelight at the height of her professional career and her triumphant return to the stage 30 years later from producer Lucija Stojevic.

“Compás y Copas” - come and experience the rhythms of flamenco and enjoy wine on the lawn at sunset as part of the winery’s Food Truck Friday.

“Flamencos in the Wild” - enjoy the sounds of flamenco guitar, song and dance in a more intimate setting at the market and stay for the Flamenco Flash Mob experience.

“Sevillanas for ALL” - come learn the traditional dance of Seville with a beginners workshop and open to everyone.

“Fiesta Flamenca” - Ensemble cast of Flamenco Artists take to the bandshell stage with a performance of traditional Spanish music and dance.
